Silver Salmon Creek is in the Lake Clark National Park. The park is essentially wilderness, no public services, no stores. The camp is right on Cook Inlet, just across from Ninilchik, which you can see on a clear day.

Silver Salmon Creek is a short 75 minute south-southwest flight from Anchorage by small plane. The flight is very scenic, flying over numerous mountains, glaciers and rivers. On the way home, if the weather cooperates, you may have a terrific view of Mount Denali, over 200 miles to the north.
